## Catching Custom Fish

Catching custom fish is easy! Just cast your rod into a body of water and wait for a fish to bite. If you do not get a custom fish after a few pulls, check your fish codex to see where you can find every custom fish in the plugin.

## Selling Fish

Selling fish is super easy - just do <mark style="color:green;">/fish shop</mark> to sell your fish!

## Fishing Level

Your Fishing Level is very important. You can get XP towards your level from Catching Custom Fish. Below is a table with the default commands of XP from each fish.

| Tier     | XP   |
| -------- | ---- |
| Bronze   | 75   |
| Silver   | 150  |
| Gold     | 300  |
| Diamond  | 700  |
| Platinum | 1900 |
| Mythical | 6000 |

Your Fishing Level is used in various applications such as;

* Being able to craft augments (varies on augment)
* Unlocking and constructing the Fishing Totem (requires level 20)
* Earning Skill Points and upgrading/unlocking skills. (1 point for upgradable, 15 to unlock one-time)

### Getting more Fishing XP

There are a few ways you can maximise your XP gain from different sources. They are listed below:

As of v4.5.3, your Fishing Skill is evermore important if you wish to level up your Fishing Skills to maximise augment production, and or entropy production.&#x20;

You can check your Fishing Level at any time using **/fish stats**

mcMMO and similar plugins **do not** affect your PyroFishing Level at all. It is entirely separate.
